2010 Winemaker Wednesdays at Gather Wine Bar in Arroyo Grande starts with the infamous Stillman Brown from Red Zeppelin Winery
Starting Wednesday February 3rd, Gather Wine Bar brings to its customers, Winemaker Wednesdays, a chance to taste new wines from great Central Coast wineries as well as get to meet the people who make the wine. Gather is excited to bring in Red Zeppelin Winery’s Stillman Brown for the inaugural tasting for 2010.
Arroyo Grande, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2010 — Red Zeppelin Winery of Cayucos, CA, will be entertaining Gather Wine Bar’s (www.gatherwinebar.com) patrons with free samples of their wines and appetizers along with samples of the winemaker’s private art collections Wednesday, February 3rd, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Gather Wine Bar, 122 East Branch Street in Arroyo Grande, CA.
Stillman Brown brings the party with him. Usually dressed impeccably in a pink suit, touting various controversial political views, the chemical breakdown and science of wine, and always willing to talk about Elvis or punk rock, Stillman is a true renaissance man for the 21st century. Also coming from that eclectic and artistic brain, comes the ability to make amazing and scrumptious wines. Whether it’s a beautiful Viognier, a hearty reserve Syrah, or party in a bottle Syrah Rosé… this man makes wines that are delicious, award winning, and fun to drink.
Gather and Stillman’s relationship goes back to the early days of the wine bar. Stillman came in to Gather with New Times Food and Wine Critic Kathy Marcks Hardesty to check out the bar, and try some of Stillman’s wines and from there, the relationship bloomed. Gather’s owner, Kari Ziegler is tickled pink that Stillman is the first winemaker for 2010. “He’s a tough act to follow, but to start off the year with Red Zeppelin sets the groundwork for locals and visitors alike to mark Wednesdays on their calendar for great wines, a fun atmosphere and awesome discounts if they want to take what they like home with them”.
Gather specializes in value pricing our region’s amazing Central Coast wines and serving them in a comfortably elegant environment. “I hope for Gather to be an extension to our customer’s homes, and I think we have found that feeling” says Kari Ziegler. In addition to fantastic wines, Gather serves small bites that help showcase the local wines. In addition to the yummy Gather-made food, Gather’s customers are welcome if not encouraged to bring in their own food whether it be takeout from local restaurants or made by themselves to share with their party.
