An Asian American Jersey Shore Coming To TV Soon
Singer-rapper-actor Tyrese Gibson is producing an Asian-American reality show set in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood and inspired by the success of MTV’s controversial sleeper hit, Jersey Shore.
Wait until you get a load of this season’s contestants!
Following an exhaustive search that began with a Craigslist casting call “looking for beautiful Asian-Americans with lively, strong, and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to shareâ€, “Black Ty†has selected eight of the hardest-partying Asian-American twentysomethings in the City of Angels to give Snooki, The Stich, J-Woww and the rest of the well-gelled gang from Seaside Heights, USA a run for their tanning gel.
Meet the eight barflies who have signed up to star in K-Town, an envelope-pushing docu-soap presently being shopped to networks: Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joe Cha, Scarlet Chan, Violet Kim, Peter Le, Steve Kim, and Jasmine Chang.
There’s even a bulked-up doppleganger for The Situation, a former adult film star.
K-Town is expected to premiere later this year.
