Kery James - News - Sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment
Kery James has been sentenced today (November 20), to 10 months’ imprisonment, following blows & hurts given with 2 other men to the rapper Black V-Ner, who had 3 days to stop work & cuts on the head, the legs & the fingers.
Rapper Kery James & his 2 bodyguards have been sentenced today to 10 months’ imprisonment, following blows & hurts given to the rapper Black V-Ner, who said that the 3 men had “massacred” their rival. Alix Mathurin aka Kery James has been sentenced to pay a 2,000 € fine.
On April 27, Kery James, 31 (who talks about peace & tolerance in his lyrics) & his 2 bodyguards were in a studio of the radio Génération 88. In the same place, there was Black V-Ner. The 2 artists were angry at each other, they co-wrote a song on Kery James’ album, that became gold disc in 2008. Thinking he has been hurt, Black V-Ner treated Kery James of “son of a b****” in a video on YouTube.
Black V-Ner has been struck by the 3 men, who were armed with knives, he had 3 days to stop work & cuts on the head, the legs & the fingers.
Kery James announced to “Le Parisien” that he’d like to stop music during some years. His album Réel entered N°1 in France in May. “I’m going to stop music, rap, during 2 or 3 years, going abroad, to get back in touch with my innerself. I need something else, strong spiritual food. Gold disc, being N°1, this is not the icing on the cake, but the result of 15 years of work. Other took less time to get it. I tried to break clichés, to build bridges by singing a duet with Charles Aznavour. But rap is underestimated in media” he said.
Kery James was born on December 28, 1977 in Guadeloupe. His first album Si C’Etait À Refaire came out in 2001, he got more success in 2008 with À L’Ombre Du Show-Business. The album became gold disc & the follow-up Réel, released in 2009, entered N°1 in France. Going on his way, Kery James has become a great French rap artist.
