Just in case you were worried that Britney Spears couldn’t possibly afford to pay all those legal bills and lead her usual swanky lifestyle—fear not.

Sure, Spears’ estate shelled out more than $3 million in legal fees between Feb. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, including the $625,000 she was ordered to hand over to Kevin Federline for his family court expenses.

But she had plenty left over, considering she racked up bills of $447,634 for security; $49,387 for home repairs and maintenance; $105,000 to rent her Malibu digs; and $178,818 for childcare.

Other expenses that qualify Spears’ status as rich: $188,556 on assistants and other employees; $285,594 in mortgage payments; $5,998 for “decorations”; and $1.06 million in “miscellaneous business expenses.”

All told, Spears spent upward of $10 million during those 11 months.

It’s good to be the pop princess.

Britney Spears former manager set for 2010 trial

A lawsuit filed by Britney Spears’s former manager against the pop star and her family will go to trial next year, Los Angeles court officials confirmed Monday.

Osama “Sam” Lutfi — who last week was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Spears until 2012 — has been given a March 8, 2010 trial date in his suit, which alleges defamation, assault and breach of contract.

Lutfi is seeking unspecified general, special and punitive damages.

His suit alleges Jamie and Lynne Spears “began a campaign of slander, libel and defamation aimed at discrediting, destroying and physically and emotionally intimidating Lutfi in order to drive him out of Britney’s life.”

Lawyers for Spears family are considering filing a countersuit.

Spears is rebuilding her career after a prolonged period of turmoil in her private life following her 2006 split from ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears Circus tour traveling Europe

Britney Spears is taking her “Circus” tour across Europe.

The pop singer announced new tour dates this summer in several countries, including Ireland, Sweden, France, Russia, and Germany. The announcement came on her Web site.

Spears is already scheduled to perform in London. She has been touring the United States since March.

Camo-wearing woman arrested at Britney Spears home

Authorities have arrested a camouflage-wearing, camera-toting woman they say was caught peeking into Britney Spears’ windows.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrested Miranda Tozier-Robbins on Thursday morning after security guards stopped her at Spears’ suburban Calabasas home. Deputies say the 26-year-old was issued a citation for trespassing and disorderly conduct and released.

The incident happened hours before Spears was scheduled to perform the first of two shows this week in Los Angeles. The 27-year-old singer’s whereabouts at the time of the incident are unknown. The sheriff’s department said it did not know, and an e-mail sent to Spears’ publicist was not immediately returned.

Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said it was unclear what the woman was up to. Jail records did not indicate whether Tozier-Robbins has an attorney.

Spears recently moved from her hilltop home in Los Angeles. Her former home was prone to spying by the paparazzi, who occasionally staked out a fire access road to try to get shots of the 27-year-old.

Britney Spears’ Vancouver concert halted for 30 minutes

The new and improved Britney Spears apparently isn’t a fan of cigarette smoke — or any other kind of smoke, for that matter — while she’s performing.

The 27-year-old pop star left the stage for about 30 minutes during a concert in Vancouver on Wednesday night, apparently because of smoke in the audience.

According to The Vancouver Sun, Spears’ concert was halted about 15 minutes into her performance, and an announcer told concertgoers to put out their cigarettes. Some audience members grew impatient while waiting for Spears and her troupe to return to the stage, the Sun reported.

After she returned and ended the show, Spears — who has been to rehab and is on the comeback trail after a long stretch of troubles — told the crowd, “Don’t smoke weed.”

Spears’ publicist, Holly Shakoor, issued a statement apologizing to fans about the delay. The statement said “crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue.”

Spears began her “Circus” tour of the United States, Canada and England on March 3 in New Orleans. Her father and attorneys are exploring the possibility of expanding the tour to include more shows in Europe and Australia.

Britney Spears Considers Taking the Circus Down Under to Australia

Britney Spears’ tour may be heading south. Way south.

Attorneys representing the popster and father Jamie’s conservatorship discussed in court today the possibility of taking Spears’ supremely successful Circus tour to Australia.

Nothing was decided at what was otherwise a largely uneventful hearing pertaining to the conservatorship, which has been in place since Feb. 1, 2008, and was extended indefinitely in December.

Another court date has been set for April 14.

The Circus Starring Britney Spears unfolds in Edmonton tonight, after which the song-and-dance extravaganza hits Vancouver before heading southward along the West Coast. As the schedule stands, Spears’ troupe touches down June 3 in London, where they’ll do eight shows (all sold out), and then wraps up June 17 in Manchester.

This paparazzo is no longer packing heat.

Britney Spears’ shutterbug ex-beau, Adnan Ghalib, has turned in his handgun to comply with a restraining order her lawyers have against him, E! News has learned.

Ghalib had a license to carry a Hi-Point C-9mm, but per court papers filed Wednesday, he sold it to a gun shop after a Los Angeles judge signed off on an order barring him from having any contact with Spears. The order, which is in effect for the next three years, also prohibits Ghalib from possessing weapons.

Meanwhile, Ghalib appeared briefly at the Van Nuys courthouse for a preliminary hearing in his felony case for allegedy running down a process server who was attempting to deliver the restraining order. At the request of Ghalib’s lawyer, the hearing was continued to May 5.

The 36-year-old paparazzo has pleaded not guilty  to one count each of assault with a deadly weapon, battery and hit-and-run for the alleged Feb. 11 incident. If convicted, he could face up to seven years in the slammer or possible deportation.
