LL Cool J Exits Janet Jackson Tour

In another setback on her “Rock Witchu” tour, Janet Jackson has lost her opening act: LL Cool J. The rapper’s publicity firm announced yesterday (Oct. 27) that he has dropped out as the headliner for Jackson because of unnamed scheduling conflicts.
It’s the latest problem on Jackson’s tour, her first North American outing in seven years. The 42-year-old singer was forced to cancel a string of earlier concerts because of a bout of migraine-associated vertigo. She recently resumed while being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.
Jackson’s upcoming shows are tonight in Auburn Hills, Mich., and Saturday in New York. She is expected to announce more dates.
LL Cool J released his final album under contract for Def Jam, “Exit 13,” in August. The set has sold just 80,000 copies so far in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The veteran rapper’s only scheduled date is Nov. 21 in East Rutherford, N.J., as part of Hot 97’s Check the Rhyme concert.

50 Cent reveals Eminem’s comeback plans

Slim Shady working on new material according to his former protégé
Eminem is working on new material and planning a comeback, according to his former protégé 50 Cent.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, 50 Cent said Eminem was planning to return from his musical hiatus ’shortly’.
“You’ll be seeing him shortly. He’s working. I spent the weekend at his house. Even though he tries to relax and stay home it’s impossible for him to stay in,” he declared.
50 Cent suggested, however, that Eminem was not happy with much of the new material he’s recorded recently.
“A lot of material he wrote prior to this [announcement] is being scrapped. He’s got to feel like it’s just happened, it’s new and it’s current. That’s just how he is creatively as an artist.”
The Detriot rapper hasn’t released an album since 2004’s ‘Encore’.
Earlier this year, Eminem phoned into his own US radio station, Shade 45, pretending to be an unsigned artist in order to prank call LL Cool J, who was a guest on the station.
He went on to reveal his identity to Cool J, before telling listeners: “Everything is good. I’m just in the studio right now working on songs and stuff like that.”

Although I prefer Travis Barker on the “Rock Remixes”, this one is pretty good. Hopefully Richie will keep turning them out. 8/10

Mariah Carey feat LL Cool J - I’ll Be Loving U Long Time Remix

Seems like LL Cool J has been in the studio a lot recently, and it’s about damn time. He’s one of the most gifted rappers, lyrically speaking, of our generation and i’m glad to see he’s back in the game. Regarding the track, LL Cool J sounds decent on it, and this is one of Mariah’s better songs of “E=MC^2″. 8/10
PS – God damn this chick is fine.
